Specialists assisted by the best of "Trained Reformed Addicts"
(T.R.A.s) and services by RAs in training.
Operate the Centers with an Advisory Board consisting of
professionals, and separate Watchdog (Ethics) Committees - consisting of
voluntary members voted in from interested agencies, charities,
religious organizations and health groups, though the UDRP is not a
nonsectarian initiative.
Populate the Centres with involuntary and voluntary
clients who present as drug abuse victims. Other sources are through
contact with doctors, psych units, medical centers, courts, churches,
family requests, etc.
The unit is not a punishment facility but a
rehabilitation unit.
After the Withdrawal and Stabilization Program has been
effective and the client is stable, the client is transferred to a Rehab
Farm for complete Rehabilitation.
The client, as an individual or as a family member is
assigned appropriate temporary accommodation in a well ordered but
easy-going atmosphere where the client undergoes a "New Life Program".
The New Life Program has the purpose and function to
rehabilitate all clients to the point where, on graduation, they will
move out into a "new life" free from drug abuse.
The goals of the New Life Program process, is achieved
through proper food and nutrition, sleep and exercise through work and
physical education, meditation and education in home and life management
and life skills, appropriate affiliate establishment, education
opportunities, employment opportunities, the establishment of a clients
secure, appropriate accommodation and maintained through ongoing
counseling.
The client is certified "Complete" through assessment by the
Center's Success Unit or returned to the program. Attestation to
completion is required by the client as part of the assessment process
for the program to be ended.
The program is funded by graduate TRAs through a tyth
for a term, and through an in-house Fund Management Group that uses the
stock market and other means to raise and maintain fund levels.
